About Tincture
We make twelve products and publish every formula.
Tincture is a two-person workshop. We make cleansers, treatments, moisturisers and a few body products in batches of 400 or fewer.
Short formulas
Most of our products have ten ingredients or fewer. Each one has a reason to be there, and the reason is on the product page.
Percentages on every page
We list the amount of every key ingredient. You can compare our 5 % niacinamide with anyone else's, and you can see when a hero ingredient is only there for scent.
Three steps
A cleanser, a treatment and a moisturiser cover most skin. The routine builder helps you choose one of each for your skin type.
We started Tincture in 2023 after years of reading labels that named one ingredient on the front and hid it ninth on the back. Our rule since then has been simple: if an ingredient is on the front of the box, its percentage is on the product page.
Everything is mixed, filled and labelled by hand in our workshop. We use fragrance only where it is part of the product’s point, such as the lavender in the night oil, and every product with an essential oil names its allergens.
We do not make sunscreen, acne treatments or anything that needs a drug licence. For those, see a pharmacist or a dermatologist.
